Danish polkas, jigs and reels that gets your feet moving
Henrik Jansberg has through the years joined forces with a lot of skilled musicians for ocassional gigs.
He enjoys the tight rythmical expression a duo can dish out while still keeping a light playfull touch.
Among the musicians he has performed with are:
Perry Stenbäck, Rasmus Zeeberg, Sigurd Hockings, Kris Drever, Jesper Vinther Pedersen, Peter Eget and Kevin Henderson...
Henrik Jansberg is a keen composer with a natural talent for generating melodies.
Often new songs or themes appear when playing an instrument, as if the instrument itself was communicating.
Jansberg plays violin and viola as well as mandolin, mandola and piano for composition purposes.
Sometimes a song does not appear that easily and parts will have to be worked and reworked into
the shapes needed for a given composition.
Henrik Jansbergs two solo albums gives strong indications of his skills as a composer.
His music has also been used for television.
He has also worked with Danish songwriters like Rasmus Nohr, Matthias Grip and Kaspar Vig combining his music and their songs.
Working as a violin teacher at the music school in the city of Koege, with more than 20 young students, Henrik feels strongly about teaching the instrument he loves.
He also teaches adults and groups focusing on the traditional music styles.
He has taught short and long courses both in various parts of Denmark but also in countries like England, Scotland, Shetland, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Germany.
